HSE First Aid at Work (2 days)

[Course dates]   [Booking Form]

A Health & Safety Executive approved four-day course that complies with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Approved Code of Practice L74 guidelines for the qualification of workplace First Aiders.

Where an employer has carried out a risk assessment, and identified a need for a fully qualified First Aider, a person should be nominated for training in accordance with the HSE guidance on personnel selection.  Potential First Aiders should be of reliable disposition with good communication skills.  They should possess an aptitude to absorb new knowledge and skills, and be able to cope with stressful and physically demanding emergency procedures.  Their normal duties should be such that these may be left to go immediately to an emergency.

This course updates the first aid skills of those who need to renew their statutory First aid at work certificate and whose existing certificate is still valid (the expiry date of your current certificate must be no earlier than 28 days before the last day of the requalification course).
